NIST 800-171 covers the protection of “Controlled Unclassified Information” (CUI) defined as information created by the government, or an entity on behalf of the government, that is unclassified but needs safeguarding. If a contractor does not have proof of compliance, the company risks removal from the approved DoD vendor list and LOSING their federal business! So, this compliance is VERY IMPORTANT, and Data Tech Café has all the tools that help with tracking and documenting the NIST compliance of a company, and they can quickly identify noncompliance and get it corrected expeditiously.
